Stepping Out in Faith: A New Season

If I’m honest, I was extremely hesitant to teach hairdressing or tailoring here in Uganda. These two skills are the most commonly taught by NGOs, and sadly, the market is saturated. Too many women are trained, but there simply isn’t enough consistent work for tailors or hairdressers to sustain a livelihood. I wrestled with this reality for a long time, not wanting to invest time and resources into something that wouldn’t truly empower the women and girls we serve.
But sometimes, you have to let go of your hesitations and listen closely to the hearts of the people you're called to serve.
Our girls were clear. They wanted to learn hairdressing. Not tailoring. Not baking. Not agriculture.
Hairdressing.
So, we listened—and we moved forward in faith.
On July 1st, we officially launched our first hairdressing class for vulnerable teen girls and single mothers. It’s a small beginning, but one full of hope and potential. And while the main focus is on hairdressing, I’ll also be teaching the girls how to make their own organic haircare and skincare products. This will serve as a secondary skill—one they can use to supplement their income or even turn into a small business of their own. The goal is sustainability, dignity, and self-worth. And we're trusting Yahweh to breathe life into this.
At the beginning of July, we also had the joy of distributing 300 reusable sanitary pad kits to girls through our Girl Yogela (Speak Out) project. This is more than just about hygiene—it’s about dignity and education. As part of this outreach, we’ve expanded the program to include awareness and education on body safety, helping girls understand their rights, recognize abuse, and know how to report concerns to trusted teachers and local authorities, including DOEFU. Equipping girls to speak out and protect themselves is a crucial part of our mission.
And we’re expanding even more.
After three long years of searching, we finally purchased 2 acres of land—land that is nothing short of an answered prayer. It’s perfect. It’s exactly what Yahweh promised me in the secret place. Every detail aligns with the vision He placed in my heart. That can only be Him.
This land will become the heartbeat of everything we do. It will house our staff team and international volunteers, Dinah’s Rescue Home for girls who have been defiled, and a Christian Retreat Centre where we’ll host powerful retreats focused on Spiritual Adoption, Healing, and Deliverance. We’ve already paid a portion of the cost, and we’re now trusting Yahweh to provide the remaining $12,000 to fully pay off the land and begin building.
In addition to all of this, we are launching a Bible training school called Yadah Global Institute. Through this institute, we’ll equip pastors and leaders with the tools to study Scripture deeply—returning to the original Hebrew and Greek—and teaching from a Hebrew roots perspective. We believe the entire Word, from Genesis to Revelation, is relevant and life-giving. This is about raising up a generation of leaders who live the Word and walk in truth.
It’s an exciting season here in Uganda. Challenging, yes. Stretching, definitely. But it’s undeniably the hand of Yahweh at work.
We are looking for believers who feel called to serve—those with a heart for women and girls, or a passion to teach and disciple in the Word. If you're tired of the fast-paced life of the Western world and you're yearning to be part of something meaningful, we’d love to have you join us. Whether for a short visit or a longer-term commitment, your presence could make all the difference.
In June, we had a university student from Austria join us for two weeks. She was a true blessing, and a beautiful reminder that when hearts align with Yahweh's purpose, amazing things happen.
Please continue to pray for us as we build, teach, and serve. If you feel led to support us—through finances, prayer, or your time—we would be deeply grateful.
