Objective

To position gender equality, human rights, and social justice as core drivers for sustainable community development throughout Uganda and beyond.

Advocacy for the rights and holistic well-being of women and girls forms the cornerstone of the Daughters of Eve Foundation.

Our initiatives focus on uplifting vulnerable populations, strengthening protective frameworks, and guaranteeing equitable access to essential resources and opportunities.

Despite ongoing efforts, numerous systemic obstacles continue to impede progress across the region. These barriers include a scarcity of robust, evidence-based data regarding the specific challenges facing women and girls, fragmented efforts among civil society actors that reduce collective impact, and limited grassroots engagement in remote areas.

Furthermore, deeply entrenched cultural norms, traditional practices, and restrictive social attitudes frequently perpetuate stigma and hinder vital community empowerment programs.

Our Approach

The Daughters of Eve Foundation leverages its grassroots experience and community-driven achievements to confront these challenges directly, ensuring that every woman and girl can claim her fundamental rights to dignity, safety, and socio-economic advancement

We drive impactful change by conducting evidence-based advocacy, spearheading targeted public campaigns, and fostering strong community movements. Our programs actively build the capacity of rights holders and duty bearers alike, engaging local leaders, community groups, families, and media partners. By forging strategic, multi-sectoral partnerships and networks, we amplify our collective voice to create lasting, systemic transformation across communities
